The exploration of human consciousness is the next great frontier. It emerges from the very core of what it means to be, to perceive, to experience, to search for meaning. Therefore, what we do at TMI is not ancillary to the human condition; it is central and of critical importance Paul Rademacher – Executive Director TMI
Robert Monroe, a successful and distinguished business executive, dedicated family man, and noted pioneer in the investigation of human consciousness founded The Monroe Institute®, a nonprofit corporation, which operates as an education and research organisation dedicated to the exploration of human consciousness and the welfare of humankind. It is internationally known for its work with sound patterns that can have dramatic effects on states of consciousness. Over the last 30+ years, tens of thousands of people have attended the Institute’s residential and outreach programmes, and millions have benefited from our educational materials. The Institute admits students of any race, colour, creed, and national or ethnic origin. The Monroe institute provides experimental education programmes facilitating the personal exploration of human consciousness. The Monroe Institute serves as the core of a research affiliation, investigating the evolution of human consciousness and making related information available to the public The Monroe Institute is devoted to the premise that focused consciousness contains definitive solutions to the major issues of human experience and a greater understanding of such consciousness can be achieved through coordinated research efforts using an interdisciplinary approach. The results of such research efforts are meaningful only if there are practical applications —something of value for our contemporary culture. As a non-profit educational and research organisation dedicated to the exploration of human consciousness, the Institute proposes to introduce, at all levels of human endeavour, abilities that will constructively change humankind’s direction and destiny. Our programmes do not contain any dogma, nor do they espouse any particular belief system, religion, political or social stance. The programme does not use a pass-fail, right-wrong learning model. We encourage the exploration of consciousness from a personal and individualistic standpoint that allows you to determine what is most meaningful and effective for you. TMI methods are non invasive and participants always exercise their free will |
